The artwork was created by local artist Zowie Crump on a previously bare fence in the main street.
Ms Crump said she had been mulling over the idea of a mural on the fence for a long time.
“I always kind of looked at the fence when I drive past and think, well, that would be a nice spot for a mural,” she said.
“It was one of those spur-of-the-moment things. I just thought Easter’s a great time because there’s heaps of tourists in town.”
The mural depicts significant features of the town, including Gulpa Creek and vibrant bottlebrush and wattle.
The gumnut is a nod to the Snugglepot and Cuddlepie gumnut babies who were painted on the building that previously stood there.
Ms Crump said the mural had been well received by the local community.
“It’s been a great response, I haven’t had any negative feedback at all,” she said.
“When I was painting, it probably took me twice as long because people kept stopping to say, ‘Oh, I’m so glad you’re doing that. It’s brightening the main street, and it’s much better than just the boring old grey panelling that was there.’”

Aside from the fence mural, Ms Crump has also recently painted another mural on the newly refurbished toilets at the War Memorial Gardens, adding a pop of colour to the area.
In collaboration with Murray River Council, she is also working with schools throughout the shire to create murals alongside their students.
The mural designs for Moulamein Public School and Tooleybuc Public School are now complete, ready to be painted, with plans well under way for the Bunnaloo Public School mural.
Murals at the Barham Public School and Wakool Burraboi Public School will follow soon after.
