At just seven, Libby was the youngest competitor in this year's Southern 80, skiing behind Kidz Boat, which was driven by her father Rick while mum Jacinta was in the observer's seat.
While it was evident there were nerves ahead of her first Southern 80, as soon as she had an ice-cream in her hand, Libby was as focused as the professionals.
And what makes her effort even more incredible is the fact, she skis with one hand, after she was born without a left.
“She always does a tremendous job out on the water,” Jacinta said.
“She has been on the water since she was 18 months old because our family is so heavily involved in the sport.
“Libby is still learning a lot about the sport, but we're not looking to win - we just want to have a bit of fun.
“When she is on the water, she uses a special type of board which helps with her condition and it has definitely become a part of her.”
While Libby may not be determined to beat everyone else around her, there is one person who she always want to beat.
Her sister Abbey-Kate who skis for Against the Grain.
“It's nice the girls are actually able to compete in the same events,” Jacinta said.
“Next year Michael (who celebrates his sixth birthday on Monday) and Matilda (four) might be competing as well.
“It would be amazing if we can get them all out on the water together.”
This year's Southern 80 was the 16th time Jacinta and Rick have competed in the event, but the family's connection goes much further back.
“We had three generations across the weekend,” Jacinta said.
“It is always an event we look forward to and we can't wait to come back again next year.”
