At just 22, the young Demon and former Echuca junior player has added a second Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Trophy to his growing trophy case in the first tie in the history of the award.
Oliver polled 464 votes, the same number as All-Australian ruckman Max Gawn, while former local resident Jack Viney finished in third place with 323 votes.
Oliver joins Melbourne legends including Ron Barassi junior and Norm Smith, as well as Kyabram's Garry Lyon as two time winners of the trophy.
“I'm obviously very honoured to win this award,” he said at the ceremony.
“I just want to firstly thank the club, the boys - all my teammates, especially the midfielders and 'Gawny' for tapping it down our throat all year, it makes it pretty easy for the midfield group. It's been unbelievable.
“I'd like to thank Mum and Dad for getting me there, Nan and Pop especially driving me as a junior to get here, they've done so much work for me.
“The coaches, everyone especially Goody (coach Simon Goodwin) for showing a lot of faith in me.”
Oliver again played every game in 2019, having now played 72 consecutive matches for the Demons.
