Oliver claims top five best and fairest finish

It pairs with his two outright wins so far in his young career.

Oliver polled 291 votes for the season, finishing 94 votes behind the eventual winner Christian Petracca.

Defender Steven May, former Moama resident Jack Viney and new recruit Ed Langdon rounded out the top five for the club.

Oliver ranked second in the competition for contested possessions, while leading the club in centre clearances (41) and disposals (25 per game).

Oliver appeared in every game for the Demons this season, and was rewarded with selection in the 40-man All-Australian squad, alongside Petracca and captain Max Gawn.

The Demons however missed the finals, eliminated in the second last game of the season.
