Detectives are asking people to come forward with information after a suspicious house fire in Ashenden St, Shepparton, on Monday night.

Shepparton Police Detective Senior Constable Lance Wiltshire said the house was vacant at the time of the fire.
“The fire caused extensive damage to the house, the front room was burnt out and the ceiling was damaged,” he said.
Shepparton District 22 duty officer Pete Dedman said Country Fire Authority personnel were called to the fire just after 9.30 pm.
He said four units from Shepparton attended the blaze which was brought under control shortly after.
Det Sen Const Wiltshire confirmed an arson chemist attended the scene following the fire and deemed the cause suspicious.
Police are calling for information about a female who was spotted leaving the area with a jerry can at the time of the blaze.
A witness described the unknown female as short, slim, with blonde hair and wearing shorts at the time.
