Thousands took the chance to visit the Port of Echuca during the Easter holidays to enjoy all the activities on offer.

The Easter activities took over the port on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.
Annabelle Purvis, Rose Purvis, Liz Jehu, Madeleine Purvis, Patrick Jehu, Tyler Jehu and Tim Jehu were among the port’s visitors.

According to Port of Echuca marketing officer Gerard Oman, the weekend was the busiest he had ever seen at the port.
“It all went really, really well and the weather held out for us,” he said.
“The number of visitors we had would be in the thousands because it would have been a thousand people just there for the fireworks.
“It’s the busiest I’ve seen (the port) in the last few years for any sort of activation that we've done.”

The weekend featured live music and displays by the Moama Historic Vehicle Club and the Echuca Vintage Machinery Club.
The information stalls hosted by Turtles Australia, Bohollow Wildlife Shelter and Landcare Australia at the pop-up park on Saturday were especially popular.
Kids loved interacting with the turtles and other wildife.

Visitors enjoyed the chance to interact with wildlife such as turtles, snakes and lizards.
On Sunday morning, the Easter bunny made an appearance at the port to give out Easter eggs.
The pony rides run by the Billabong Ranch on Sunday were another popular activity with guests.
All the port’s regular cruises and tours were booked out during the weekend.
To finish a successful Easter weekend, the port’s annual fireworks display exploded into life at 7.30pm.
Noel Scott, Pam Emerson, Joe Schembri and Rolly Griffiths were all smiles over Easter.
