Over 40 riders took part in the three-day event, covering approximately 600km around and through the Grampians region as they saddled up on their ex-Australia Post bikes.
Proceeds from the 2022 Great Postie Bike Adventure will be directed to the new Cancer and Wellness Centre at Echuca Regional Health.
Horizon Committee president Garet Stobaus said the final fundraising figure should be substantial.
"It’s looking like we will raise well north of $85,000,” Stobaus said.
“We haven’t (got) a final figure yet as there are still a few donations and pledges to finalise.”
Fellow Horizon Committee member Dick Phillips has taken part in every postie bike ride so far, and he was at Halls Gap on the weekend.
He bought his bike on eBay seven years ago, an ex-Australia Post motorcycle that did the rounds in Melbourne.
“It’s a bit of a cult thing, a bit of fun,” Mr Phillips said.
“The hard bit — the fundraising — is done with beforehand, so everyone has the opportunity to kick back and enjoy the ride.
“We have a lot of fun on the ride, there is no doubt about that, but the main thing is obviously raising funds for cancer services.
“The scenery down at Halls Gap is absolutely sensational. Quite a few of the guys said that they had never been there before but now were looking forward to going back with their families.”
He said his favourite moment from this year’s event was getting to do the ride with his son, Callum.
Callum has been on all of the postie bike adventures, but this was just his second as a rider.
Dick and Callum weren’t the only father-son duo in Halls Gap, with Darren and Jida Stephenson also taking part in the ride.
This was the fifth edition of the postie bike fundraiser, with the previous rides based around the Echuca-Moama region and Bright.
The Horizon Committee is already hard at work planning next year’s fundraiser, with the 2023 Great Postie Bike Adventure course covering the north-west corner of Tasmania.
Mr Stobaus thanked all the businesses and people who had donated to this year’s fundraiser.
“The support from local people and businesses has been overwhelming, particularly from our major partners Moama Bowling Club and Mazda,” he said.
A final figure and formal donation to Echuca Regional Health from Echuca’s Horizon Committee will take place once the total has been finalised.
