Private hospital to close over Christmas

The spokesperson said the hospital closed each year over the festive season.

They said it enabled hospital staff to have a much-needed break while doctors and specialists were on leave, and there were no theatre lists or patients.

The hospital said the measure was only temporary, and all existing services would resume in January.
