The organising committee decided the new name would better reflect the event’s evolution.
Committee member John Knapper said the ‘garage salers’ were still more than welcome and would remain a large part of the market.
As the event is part of the Benalla Festival, the sale of pre-loved goods ties in well with this year’s theme of ‘Past, Present and Future’.
“There will no doubt be people, as in previous years, finding little treasures among all the ‘stuff’ from the past,” Mr Knapper said.
“There will be a large variety of stalls offering a range of handcrafts and plants. Face painting will be available for the children and any daring adults.
“Why not meet friends there for a barista-made coffee and be entertained by busker Jess and band Rattler?”
If you’re feeling peckish, Tatong CFA will have its sausage sizzle going. If you’d prefer, you can enjoy a sandwich and cake from the Tatong Hall Committee stall.
There will also be a stall where you can sharpen your knives, garden tools and chainsaws.
Mansfield CFA is bringing its ‘burn table’ to hold demonstrations throughout the day.
The burn table is an educational tool to demonstrate fire behaviour.
If you would like to have a stall at the event, it’s not too late to have a spring clean and find some pre-loved items to sell.
The Tatong Market & More takes place on November 5 at the picturesque Tatong footy oval on Tiger Hill Rd, only a 20-minute drive from Benalla.
