Another tough week for senior netballers, with new playing groups taking time to combine.

Another great week for juniors.
A Grade
Rennie 28 defeated by Jerilderie 42.
The girls started out strong and defenders Lexie and Tiarnah combined well and got some great intercepts which resulted in goals for Rennie.
Ella played well in GS and Brooke fought hard all game in GA but they were up against some very strong defenders in Jerilderie.
Maddi’s turnovers in WD provided strong support to the attacking end all game. The mid court in Brooke and Nat worked tirelessly in the heat.
At half time Ebony came on in GS which gave another target in the circle.
Rennie girls never gave up and continued to work hard.

B Grade
Rennie 28 defeated by Jerilderie 40.
Both teams started strong in very warm conditions. The first half was close, with Jerilderie the advantage.
Sophia Shaw gave some great options to the goalies, Jess and Danielle.
Hannah and Abbey kept their heads up in defence which made for a great contest.
Abbey Coghill played her first senior game this week and she certainly deserved the best player award for Rennie.
Hannah got her hands to some great intercepts which kept Rennie in the game. Alainah provided drive to the attack end.
Rennie made some changes after half time with Georgia and Celine providing some positive voices for the team.
Abbey went into goals in the last quarter which gave Rennie some additional movement in the goal ring.
Rennie won the last quarter but was not enough to take the lead in the end being defeated by 12. The girls should be really proud of their efforts this week.

C Grade
Rennie 38 defeated Jerilderie 35
What a game to watch! Second game in and the girls have begun to mesh to create a strong flow up and down the court.
The defensive end of Anika and Cait were on fire putting pressure on the shooters and backing each other up.
Steph worked hard in wing defence, giving good drives and opening up space to flow the ball down the court.
Nada ran like no one’s business; does this energiser bunny ever run out!
A big thank you to Catherine for filling in on super short notice, who made lobbing into the ring look easy feeding the shooters.
Adelle gave good run and after missing her last year of juniors has stepped up into senior netball adjusting quickly to changes.
Playing coach Laura gave it her all, her court coverage in GA was amazing.
Leonie’s eagerness to learn and take on instruction made ring work easy and simple converting to goals.

C Res
Rennie 22 defeated by Jerilderie 41
The C Res girls got their first run out of the season. After looking at not being able to field a side the Rennie girls were able to pull some ladies out of retirement and twist some arms to fill the side.
First gamer Jordynn Ednie had a tough day in defence working overtime putting pressure on the shooters and trying to get up for rebounds.
The club think Craig definitely needs to make some room in the trophy cabinet and watch out for this new “little master”.
Kym Rhodes had a strong start looking like she never took a 10-year break before coming off with an injury.
Bree came on to defence sliding in like second nature. The mid court girls Amy, Jaz, Ash and Georgia gave good run and chase to the ball.
They fed super star shooter Jess W who ran overtime and still managed to sink shots even when fatigued.
Another new recruit Jess Butcher gave support and a tall target in the ring helping to raise the scoreboard.
Tan jumped into the shooter position proving as always it’s not how fast you play but how smart you play; creating plays and space to open up the ring and sinking a shot or two herself!

Under 15s
Rennie 36 defeated Jerilderie 13
With a flexible combination the team started well, and the strong defence continued to provide opportunities which were rewarded in goals.
Lucy Bassett played an excellent game in GS and was awarded the Wingates award.
In her first game for the club Ava Vodusek played a strong game in goalkeeper and was awarded the Rhodes Family award.
Great to see all girls enjoying their netball. Congratulations on an excellent game.

Under 13s
Rennie 31 defeated Jerilderie 6
This week the Hopper girls showed everyone they are once again a strong group taking out another big win.
The defence line again was unstoppable and with almost perfect accuracy from the shooters Rennie just couldn’t lose.
All the girls played their part perfectly and are developing into a competitive unit.

U13’s development
Lovely to see these young girls so eager to play and enjoying their netball.
All girls are putting in their all.
They are learning all the positions on the court and trying a couple of new positions each week.
The 4 girls who were in goals this week Nicki, Chloe, Abbey and Hayley all shot goals which is a big ask considering their size.
Maddi and Charli covered the centre court well, both getting out for centre passes and putting pressure on the oppositions.
Mia and Samantha both turned the ball over a number of times with some great intercepts in defence.
Well done girls.
