Mrs Pagram has become a passionate advocate in the fight against motor neurone disease (MND) following the death of her husband Kevin in June 2019.
“I was invited to the MCG by the Melbourne Demons to present the game ball to the umpires,” she said.
“It was an overwhelming experience standing on the oval on match-day.”
Mrs Pagram reflected on her 47 years of marriage with Kevin until his passing from MND.
“Kevin and I were happily married, when in April 2017 he was diagnosed with MND,” she said.
“He was a member of Echuca Search and Rescue, and really he was a big softy with a heart of gold.”
Mrs Pagram is an employee of Coles Echuca, which has been a proud supporter of the annual Big Freeze.
The Coles Echuca store this year raised more than $36,000.
That figure has lifted the fundraising tally over the past four years to just shy of $170,000.
Big Freeze 9 raised a record total of $2.3 million, with sliders such as Eric Bana, Jason Dunstall and Melbourne Cup-winning jockey Michelle Payne taking the plunge into the ice-cold water.
