Second person dies following Echuca crash

There were three occupants in the car, which subsequently caught fire.

A passenger, a Moama woman, 26, died at the scene.

An Echuca boy, 11, was treated at the scene but died as a result of his injuries.

The driver, an Echuca man, 23, was flown to hospital where he remains in a stable condition and is assisting police with their inquiries.

The exact circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be determined, and Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives will investigate.
