Ms Oliver has a wealth of experience in both primary and secondary settings.
She grew up in Nagambie, completing primary school at St Joseph’s before attending Sacred Heart in Seymour from years 7 to 10, finishing her final two years at Seymour Technical High School.
After high school, she completed her secondary teaching degree in Melbourne, majoring in English and history and started her career at Goroke Consolidated P-10 in the Wimmera for two years.
Ms Oliver returned to the Goulburn Valley and taught at Mooroopna Secondary College and then transferred to Shepparton High School, where she was assistant principal for 10 years.
While at Shepparton, she completed her masters in education and in 2017 was appointed principal at Numurkah Primary School.
Completing the circle, she has returned to be principal of Seymour College.
Ms Oliver currently lives in Nagambie and is in the process of building a house.
She said she looked forward to meeting all members of the wider Seymour College community.
“I am truly excited to return to Seymour College and have the opportunity to work in a school that encompasses early years, inclusive, primary, secondary education,” she said.
Seymour College would like to acknowledge the exceptional work of Gail Hardman in leading Seymour College as executive principal since 2016 and wishes her well in her new role in the north-east regional office.
