The annual event, which is known to attract more than 400 vehicles of all shapes and sizes, will also feature:
A variety of kids’ rides and entertainment;
A swap meet;
Market stalls;
Food and drink vans;
A raffle, with prizes valued at $2000;
Emergency services demonstrations; and
Classic cars, show cars, modern cars, motorbikes, trucks and more.
The event is being organised, as always, by the Lions Club of Seymour Goulburn.
Lions Club Events Committee chair Reggie Young said Mitchell Shire Council and the Kings Park Committee of Management had been working tirelessly to get the site prepared, with it having sustained damage during the October floods.
“This is the third show ’n’ shine we’ve had,” Ms Young said.
“We did have some cancellations during the pandemic, but last year we had more than 420 vehicles on display.
“We’ve already got lots of local businesses on deck to sponsor us. Most from last year are returning.
“The sponsors have supplied some incredible items for the raffle, all of which have been purchased in the local area to support local business.
“We will be out and about in Seymour selling raffle tickets from the first week in February. The raffle will be drawn around midday at the show ’n’ shine.”
Ms Young said the event would see the return of the popular swap meet, and the market, both of which featured 60 stalls last year.
“And we expect as many, if not more, this year,” she said.
“Plus we’ll have lots of rides and entertainment for the kids. We’ll have SES there doing a demonstration.
“We have the police bringing some of their new vehicles along, and the Seymour Fire Brigade will be in attendance.
“We will also have lots of non-profits and local clubs represented as well.
“The highlight for many will be the show ’n’ shine, and we have 20 different awards and trophies to hand out for the best on display.”
If you would like to enter your car simply turn up on the day, entry is $10.
