Only a handful of artists can say they’ve taken the bull by the horns, brushed over the beast, and become part of one of Shepparton’s most famed attractions.

The latest to do so is Christiano ‘Dery’ Theodorus.
The local artist has designed and painted the newest member of the Moooving Art herd, a public art exhibition featuring over 90 cows scattered across the municipality.
The concept put forward by Greater Shepparton City Council’s destination brand, Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, and produced by Theodorus, was to blend the new and old Shepparton.
It showcases the region’s diverse people, native flora and fauna, and landmarks like the old post office, Dutch windmill, Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE), and Shepparton Art Museum (SAM).
All that’s missing now is a name.
Shepparton & Goulburn Valley is asking for input from the community and visitors to name the artistic oxen.
“We encourage locals and visitors to leave a mark in the community and help our destination brand, Shepparton & Goulburn Valley, to find the perfect name for the newest addition to the herd,” City of Greater Shepparton Mayor Shane Sali said.
“We invite the community to explore our region and take the time to see all of the wonderful Moooving Art cows.”
Name suggestions can be submitted via the @SheppandGV socials or by emailing digital@sheppandgv.com.au by Friday, May 31.
Residents and visitors are invited to meet the new cow, currently located at the SAM Precinct, 530 Wyndham St, Shepparton.
