Shepparton’s Parklake was taken over by a flurry of femininity on Thursday, March 7, for the group’s International Women’s Day breakfast.
During which, a powerful chorus of female voices took to the stage.
Lisa McKenzie and Sarah Brockhus, two change leaders in the Shepparton community, captivated guests with their striking speeches.
The women spoke of their challenges — life’s attempts to keep them within their lane — and how they overcame them, triumphing as movers and shakers in their respective careers.
It was impossible not to look at them and think, ‘I can do anything’.
During the event, raffles were drawn, conversations reverberated around the function room, and all attendees left feeling inspired, motivated and proud to be a woman.
The News journalist Taylah Baker was present to snap the event.
