St Alban's Anglican Church Tocumwal will be celebrating its 125th anniversary this Sunday.

The Very Reverend Thomas Leslie, Dean of St Alban's Cathedral in Griffith, will be guest preacher for the service.
The Reverend Canon David O'Neill will be travelling from Hobart to be guest organist.
The service will be at the special time of 10am (rather than the usual 8.30am), followed by a barbecue luncheon in the garden.
Footage of the old St Alban's musical theatre productions will be available to view.
All are welcome to join this celebration, regardless of religious affiliation.

Tocumwal RSL will be holding a Remembrance Day ceremony on November 11 at 11am at the RSL, 77 Deniliquin St, Tocumwal.
Remembrance Day is a time for us as a community to unite and show our solemn respect for all those who have served our country, many of whom died in battle and the many who suffered greatly.
The guest speakers will include Archie Matters, giving a youth perspective on the importance of Remembrance Day.
Ron Glass will speak of the contribution of local community members.
Everyone is invited to attend and those wishing to lay wreaths are most welcome.
A light lunch and refreshments will be served in the hall following the service.
Remembrance Day tokens and poppies will be available at the front of IGA on the mornings of November 6, 7 and 8.
The RSL is holding its annual Remembrance Dinner on Thursday, November 14 for veterans and members.

Club Tocumwal’s annual Kids Halloween Party is back with this year’s spooky celebration to be held outdoors with lots of fun and games for all.
They have something for everyone with face painting, costume contest, golf activities, bowls, pickleball, a lolly hunt and a free sausage sizzle.
Bring your best dress ups, a picnic rug and enjoy Halloween on the green.

Congratulations to Pat Tassone, who won the hamper raffled by The Railway Heritage Museum on Saturday.
Thank you to the community for its support of this raffle.
The Tocumwal Railway Heritage Museum is open every Saturday 10am to 3pm.
Pop in and have a look at the railway history on display.
The kids will love the working Thomas the Tank Engine train set.
Entry is $5 for adults and children are free.

For those attending the Optimists High Tea this Thursday, October 17, guest speaker Kathy Mexted - a local pilot, author and photographer - will have her new book Take Flight for sale on the day.
The High Tea venue is the Murray Border Flying Club (adjacent to The Drome Museum and Cafe).
Guests are asked to arrive by 2pm.
The Tocumwal Optimists look forward to the High Tea being a successful fundraiser which will ultimately assist local community organisations.

Just a reminder, tickets for the Tocumwal Optimists Major Garden Cart raffle will be on sale this Saturday, October 19 at the front of IGA.
Tickets are $5 each and will be drawn on Saturday, October 26.

Save the date for the Tocumwal Lions Community Hostel’s Annual Fete on Sunday, November 3.
The fete will run from 9am to 12 noon from the front of the hostel in Jerilderie St.
There is a spinning wheel with lots of prizes to be won and a barbecue, pancakes and tea and coffee.
There will also be arts and crafts, plants to buy, produce and cakes, face painting, residents’ stall and lots more.
Raffle tickets will also be available at the Tocumwal Foreshore Market on Saturday, November 2.
