The event will be held from 9.30am to 11.30am at the Barooga Sports Bowls Club.
Tickets are $35 and the event will feature catering by Longhouse.
Soroptimist group member Pam Ewert will be the guest speaker.
Group secretary Kay Morgan said the event was to raise awareness of mental health.
“We are raising money for mental health,” she said.
“One of our members, Pam Ewert, is the GV Health divisional operations director of Goulburn Valley Area mental health services. She will talk about what she does.”
All proceeds from the event will go towards buying craft supplies for use by inpatients at the GV mental health unit.
Ms Morgan encourages anyone, male or female, to attend and said the event was needed to help address the mental health issues within the community and highlight the need for more support.
Soroptimist International of Cobram and Barooga is part of Soroptimist International, which is a global volunteer movement with a network of around 66,000 club members in 120 countries.
It is a female-oriented organisation, which promotes the empowerment of women through education.
The Cobram and Barooga branch will be taking part in the Community Expo being held on Saturday, April 22, and Ms Morgan encourages anyone interested to come and have a chat.
“It’s about helping the community but also helping us as women,” she said.
“We get a lot out of it from the social aspect and helping the community, meeting lots of other people.”
