Robyn Howarth, the author of Faraday – A Community Rediscovered, will be the guest at the Cohuna library on Wednesday, November 27, at 10.30am.
“The Gannawarra Library Service is honoured to have secured Robyn for this special event, which will focus on what occurred at Faraday State School in October 1972 and how it impacted all involved,” Gannawarra Shire Council acting chief executive Amanda Wilson said.
Faraday – A Community Rediscovered focuses on what became known as the Faraday school kidnapping, which saw six students and a teacher kidnapped by two men and taken from the school to a remote bush location.
Ms Howarth was one of the six students kidnapped and has written an account of not only the events of that fateful afternoon but the aftermath of the ordeal.
Places for this free event are limited, and will book out quickly.
