Visit Nathalia’s ‘Museum of Broken Relationships’

A total of 23 people contributed pieces to the exhibition, with items ranging from stump posts, old clothes, photographs, paintings and even pieces of a broken piano.

The stories behind each of the objects are included with the artworks for visitors to read.

G.R.A.I.N chairperson Philippa Schapper said the exhibition touched on tough topics and had opened up good discussions.

“You know, people have been very brave — there are a couple that are anonymous because what they were talking about was so challenging,” she said.

“There are some really good discussion-starters.”

The exhibition takes inspiration from a permanent exhibition in Croatia called the Museum of Broken Hearts.

Visitors can check out the exhibition at the G.R.A.I.N store from Thursday to Saturday from 11am to 4pm.

The exhibition’s final day will be Saturday, October 19.
