Chrystle Olivia Kemp appeared in Shepparton Magistrates’ Court via video link on Friday, December 1, supported by her mother.
Ms Kemp is facing multiple charges after the Toyota LandCruiser she was driving, a Ford Territory and another LandCruiser collided at the intersection of Old Dookie Rd and Boundary Rd, Shepparton East, on October 20.
Ms Kemp’s passenger, Shepparton five-year-old Savannah Kemp, died at the scene.
The driver of the Ford, a 32-year-old pregnant woman, was flown to hospital with serious injuries, where her unborn baby later died.
The driver of the white Toyota, a 33-year-old Shepparton man, and his passenger, a 22-year-old Katandra West man, were taken to hospital for observation.
Ms Kemp has been charged with driving in a dangerous manner causing death, driving in a dangerous manner causing injury, driving in a manner dangerous to the public, driving carelessly and failing to stop and give way at a stop sign.
No plea was called for and Magistrate Marita Altman adjourned the case until March next year.
Ms Kemp remains on bail.
