Zachary Ilsley, 26, was sentenced in Echuca Magistrates’ Court recently after pleading guilty to five counts of theft, four of committing an indictable offence on bail, two of reckless conduct endangering person and unlicensed driving and single counts of failing to stop a motor vehicle on police request, aggravated burglary and attempted burglary.
Ilsley was arrested on February 18, the day after stealing a 2019 Mazda Bravo ute and Fish Pro 170 jet ski from Rutherglen and an attempted burglary in Yarrawonga.
The week before, Ilsley stole a vehicle from Bendigo, which was later found crashed and burnt in Cooma, near Girgarre.
He also committed an aggravated burglary in Kyabram on January 30. The vehicle involved was later found burnt out in Black Culvert Rd, between Echuca and Rochester.
Ilsley’s sentence includes a nine-month non-parole period, with 49 days in custody reckoned as served.
