A man was assaulted and had his possessions stolen in the early hours of Saturday, July 23.
Shepparton Crime Investigation Unit Detective Senior Constable Jessica Williams said the 42-year-old victim was walking home about 1am when he was approached by a teenage girl and a woman aged in her 40s.
Police alleged the two females assaulted the man before stealing his belongings.
The incident happened on the corner of Fryers St and Midland Hwy.
Det Sen Constable Williams said the victim attempted to flag down members of the public for help.
He was taken to Goulburn Valley Health with minor injuries to his face.
Police want to speak to any drivers who were in the area at the time, and would like to see any dashcam footage.
