With a new executive group leading the charge, South is looking to find raise funds in what has been a difficult year.
The raffle has been moved online in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic with all funds raised going directly to clubs across Australia.
Toyota provides all the raffle prizes and grassroots clubs which register for the raffle get to keep 100 per cent of the funds they raise through the raffle.
South president Gary Smith said he had been overwhelmed by the response to this year’s raffle.
“It’s been huge considering it is so difficult to get sponsors on board,” he said.
“Right now, you don’t want to be walking into local businesses and asking for money when so many people are doing it tough.
“Moving the raffle online has meant we aren’t chasing players for their tickets which has been a lot easier for us to manage.
“Some families at the club have been directly affected by this pandemic and hopefully we can use some of this funding to help people out.”
John Merritt of Echuca Toyota said he was pleased to help promote the club’s campaign.
“We have loved the opportunity to get involved with community sport at a time when our local clubs need the support,” he said.
“This raffle is a great vehicle to continue showing our support. It's great to see a local club doing so well and I hope they stay towards the top of the leaderboard.”
Echuca South had raised $3700 at the time of writing.
The top prize in the raffle is a brand new 2019 Toyota RAV4.
Tickets can be purchased at https://toyotagoodforcricket.raffletix.com.au/ for just $5.
