All clubs across the competition have been handed extra points for next season with a rise of one and two points.
Leitchville-Gunbower (42 points) will have equal lowest total alongside North Bendigo, while Lockington-Bamawm United (45 points) sits in the middle bracket.
Meanwhile, AFL Central Victoria has confirmed those who played for their current club in 2019 would receive a points deduction in 2021 if they had signed with the same team for the cancelled 2020 season.
This means a four-point player in 2019 will be worth two next year.
“What we're doing is trying to reward loyalty for a player who played with a club in 2019 and is still playing with that club in 2021,” AFLCV regional manager Carol Cathcart told Australian Community Media.
“But if someone was recruited to a club for the 2020 season, we won't be providing the point deduction for them.”
LBU president Colin Bacon said he’s club were going to be in a strong position no matter the points allocation for 2021.
“We’ve got a lot of homegrown players on our list which means they’re worth only a point each,” he said.
“At some points last season, we were actually playing well short of our allocated points. It’s good to see loyalty is going to be rewarded across the competition.
“Hopefully it helps clubs to retain the majority of their players going forward.
“The decision does give you a little bit more space for recruits and that’s something we could potentially look at moving forward.”
Leitchville-Gunbower president Gary Kervin said he was pleased to have further clarity for a possible 2021 season.
It comes after the HDFNL’s salary cap of $106,600 was announced in August.
“Everything is starting to look a lot better across the whole state which is really pleasing,” he said.
“Unfortunately, guys we had signed for the 2020 season won’t lose a point which is a little disappointing, but we’re keen to work around that.
“Our recruiting staff have done a terrific job so far and it’s great they’ve got an idea of what else they’re going to be able to do.”
