With COVID restrictions making full blown racing difficult, the club will run a series of social trial runs on Friday night from 6pm.
Echuca Moama Cycling Club president Ray Hamilton said it would be good for riders to return to the track.
“It's going to be fantastic,” he said.
“We are treating it as a training run for now. With the restrictions it will be difficult to race for now, so we are having a bit more fun with it.
“It gives anyone the chance to get on a pushbike and get a ride in, and hopefully a bit of fun for them.
“We'll have a barbecue, a few refreshments and a ride, and I think a lot of people will enjoy it.”
Hamilton said while the club's members are keen to return, he expected there could be an upside in riders due to COVID.
“The bike shops around town have done a lot of business during the pandemic,” he said.
“Many people have taken up riding as a result of the pandemic as a way of getting out and about, and that's fantastic.
“Hopefully a few more people take an interest in the sport, and we'd love to see them come and have a ride with us.”
With NSW set to abandon border restrictions with Victoria in the next few weeks, Hamilton expects more riders to attend as COVID restrictions ease further.
But for now, he advises people to consider how they get to the meeting.
“I'd probably ride over to be honest,” Hamilton laughed.
“The bridge is going to be chaos for a bit longer, so it's probably the easiest way to get over for the night.”
