With only three official teams in B grade, the competition has elected to field a combined side to even up the numbers.
The team will include players from clubs such as Echuca and Echuca South who do not have enough players to fill a team themselves.
Although, Echuca already has a team entered in the A grade competition.
Cam Kervin has been named the coach of the side.
“The best thing is to keep creating new opportunities for people in the community,” he said.
“B grade is the perfect place for people to learn the game. All players will train at their home clubs and then come together on the weekend.
“It’s all about making sure everyone gets a game in some shape or form.”
Kervin congratulated the clubs on the way they had been able to work together.
“It’s great our clubs are pushing the growth of the game,” he said.
“Women’s cricket has been growing year after year in recent times which is great to see.
“If this concept does work, I’m sure we will see more teams being formed going forward.”
Anyone interested is urged to contact their local club for more details.
