Madison Elliot and Jayda Richardson have been named as members of the Pioneers pre-season list heading into the 2021 NAB League season.
The elite junior pathway competition this year switched from an under 16 and under 18 competition to under 17 and under 19.
Pioneers head coach Damian Truslove said it would be good for the young players to return to training.
“We are excited to get these girls back playing football, having fun and learning new skills, in order to develop their football, and hopefully take their football to the next level,” Truslove said.
“Like any squad, players that are excelling outside this squad in local league football have the opportunity to be included throughout the season.
“As well, the players that have already been selected that don’t meet expectations may be released back to local football.”
Both Elliot and Richardson were named as members of the 2020 under 18 squad before the season was abandoned due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NAB League is set to resume in February, in line with both the VFLW and AFLW competitions.
