The sun was shining and spirits were high as students nervously lined up waiting for their first events.
The echo of the starter’s gun was heard throughout the town and water escaped the pool as students dived in determined to reach the end first.
The sub-junior students were treated to a day of fun - dressing in hula skirts and floral headpieces to participate in Hawaiian-themed novelty events.
Again, this year, sportsmanship was an overarching theme of the carnival and students did not disappoint.
It was encouraging to see so many students supporting and cheering for each other throughout the day.
The students were also extremely excited to be able to have their parents and grandparents present again at sport carnivals and cheer them along in their events.
Of course, the day wouldn't be complete without the annual teacher against students relay.
All students put in their best efforts, swimming ferociously across the pool as their peers cheered them on, and this year they were excited to claim back their victory.
The winning house was Moira, with Gulpa close on their heels, proving students’ keen sense of competitiveness in the pool this year.
