ON FRIDAY morning, Cohuna footballer Josh Treacy called a meeting with Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir ahead of the weekend's AFL match with Hawthorn.
“I want to see where I'm at,” he said.
“See if there's anything holding me back or anything I need to add to my weaponry that's going to stand me out.”
Coach Justin Longmuir was quick to respond.
“The answer's ‘no’, mate,” Longmuir said.
“The answer is ‘you're in the team this week and you're going to play'.”
The Big Cohuna, as the 193 cm forward has been dubbed, became the 230th man to pull on a Fremantle jumper on Sunday night as his Dockers picked up a 15-point win against Hawthorn at Optus Stadium in Perth.
Treacy produced strong numbers with eight kicks and two handballs, taking five marks and laying three tackles, as well as three hit-outs pinch-hitting in the ruck.
