Echuca will host the Victorian ISSF State Championships at Echuca Clay Target Club this weekend.
The event will see not only the best shooters from Victoria in town, but the best from across the country vying to take out multiple events.
Included in the list will be Olympians Thomas Grice, James Willett, Penny Smith and Laetisha Scanlan.
Echuca Clay Target Club president Nicholas Dean said it was a great opportunity for the town.
"It's wonderful to have shooters of that quality competing in the event,” he said.
"It's a whole new level when you watch the way they take on the task of shooting, the way they prepare and compete, it's fantastic to observe."
The weekend's events will be yet another in a growing list of major events hosted Echuca Clay Target Club in recent years, with previous state and national events held at the club since its redevelopment.
Dean said it was an acknowledgement of the work the club had done.
“We keep the club in immaculate condition,” he said.
“And everyone around the club has put in the work to make sure things are at the standard they are at, and it shows.
“It's something we are incredibly proud of as a club, and we've been lucky to host some great events in recent years as a result.
“People come to the town, they bring their families, so that is a big boost to the community, and they leave having had a great experience and having participated in a great event.
“It also has a long-term impact in terms of our monthly shoots. People love our facilities, and having seen what the club is like it often brings them back to the club for those events.”
