The tennis prodigy, 14, finished at the top of the podium when she took out the 2020/21 Bendigo Academy of Sport Athlete of the Year award at its annual presentation on May 14.
Crossman, also the tennis athlete of the year, was presented with the top honour at the academy's gala evening at the All Seasons, which celebrates the successes of its athletes and coaches.
Among her achievements as an athlete, Crossman has represented Victoria in the Foundation Cup and won a 12-and-under national grass court doubles title.
She currently has a national ranking of 12 for her birth year and a state ranking of four in Victoria, while also sitting at 409 in the national women's ranking.
This year, Bendigo Academy of Sport's night of nights celebrated winners from both the 2019/20 and 2020/21 seasons.
Crossman was presented with the Gary Tierney Memorial Scholarship Award by John McGrath, a long-time family friend of Gary Tierney and Olympian Linden Hall.
In an incredible feat, Crossman joined the 2019/20 Athlete of the Year Olivia Quigley as the only two tennis players to win the top award in its history.
Echuca-Moama golfer D’arcy Whyte, 15, was another big winner on the night after taking out his sport's BAS athlete of the year for 2020.
Tennis players Deagan Tomkins and Josh Bavich, both 18, also represented Echuca-Moama in the award winners.
Tomkins and Bavich took out the BAS tennis coaches’ encouragement award for 2019 and 2020 respectively.
