The stadium has been supporting the local community since the late 1980s, and with extensions and improvements it’s now an excellent facility that can be used for a greater number of sports and activities.
The stadium has offered and continues to have junior basketball for boys and girls on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
Age groups cater from pre-school to Year 10, in addition to those involved with the Deni Junior Giants.
There’s also plenty of hoop action available for the older kids and adults, with mixed netball and men’s basketball.
The stadium is home to a range of racquet sports clubs too, including the Deniliquin Table Tennis Club and Deniliquin Badminton Club.
And stay tuned because the fast-growing sport of pickleball may be starting soon.
A great place to keep fit and learn new skills, the stadium is also home to boxing exercise, an active school holiday program, the indoor soccer-like sport of Futsal and Lifeball, which is an inclusive-modified version of netball perfect for seniors.
It is also a venue for parties, exhibitions and conferences.
Anyone who is interested in getting involved with any of these activities can call the stadium at 5881 4100, or stadium manager John Arthur on 0408 997 705 or follow the Deniliquin Stadium Facebook page.
