Harry Morrison impressed for Hawthorn as he looks to add to his 42 matches at the highest level, starring in his side's comfortable win over North Melbourne on Saturday.
Morrison racked up 30 touches - including 16 kicks and 14 handballs - as well as six tackles and four clearances as the Hawks ran rampant to the tune of 39 points.
The midfielder was named second best for his side and will look to take the form into the season-proper when Hawthorn faces Essendon on March 20 in a round one contest.
Fellow Benalla product Tom Rockliff eased into Port Adelaide's pre-season fixture against Adelaide.
In the mini-showdown Rockliff snared 14 disposals, four tackles and three marks as the Power trounced the Crows by 71 points.
A March 21 date with North Melbourne awaits Rockliff and his teammates in round one.
Meanwhile, Caleb Marchbank's horror run with injury continues.
The Carlton defender is likely to miss the early rounds of the season due to a recent calf strain.
It comes after Marchbank's last campaign was completely wiped out by neck and knee issues.
