Crocodiles 4 Kookaburras 1:
The Crocodiles, Sienna Bajada and Phil Keast, had a 4-1 win against the Kookaburras, John Holschier and Julien Timmins.
Bajada beat Holschier in four sets, and Keast had a straight-sets victory over Timmins.
The Kookaburras came from behind to win the doubles in a five-set match.
Keast found his edge in a three-set win against Holschier, and Bajada won a great five-set battle against Timmins.
Redbacks 4 Kangas 1:
The Redbacks, William Tong and Flynn Mosley, had a 4-1 win against the Kangas, Adrian Squires and Xavier Rhodes.
Tong beat Squires in four sets, and Mosley won against Rhodes in four sets.
The Redbacks won a five-set doubles match, Squires beat Mosley in straight sets and Tong beat Rhodes in four.
Plovers 4 All-Stars 1:
Playing for the Plovers, John Bajada and Logan Hyland won 4-1 when they played Bill Sharp and Christian Squires of the All-Stars. Bajada beat Sharp in straight sets. Squires beat Hyland in five. It was a straight-sets doubles win for the Plovers. Bajada beat Squires in three sets and Hyland beat Sharp in four.
Owls 4 Galahs 1:
The 4-1 scoreline trend continued when the Owls, Stephen Lane and Paul Shea, beat the Galahs, Brian Harrington and Matt Parkinson.
Lane won in straight sets against Harrington and Shea came from two sets down to beat Parkinson in five.
The Owls then won the doubles and Lane won three against Parkinson before Harrington beat Shea in straight sets.
Yellowbellies 3 Possums 2:
Gareth Burnell and Stephen Mahon of the Yellowbellies won 3-2 over the Possums, Wayne Phillips and Patrick Cornell.
Phillips beat Burnell in three sets, and Mahon won in three against Cornell.
The Yellowbellies won an important doubles match in straight sets, Phillips beat Mahon in four sets, and Burnell prevailed in a tight five-set match against Cornell.
B-grade:
Frogs 3 Wombats 2:
The Frogs, Chris Seely and Lois Hermiston, won 3-2 against the Wombats, Pauline Hooper and Rae Spencer.
Hooper won in three against Seely and despite losing the first two sets, Hermiston returned to win against Spencer in five.
The Frogs held on for a five-set doubles win, Hooper beat Hermiston in three sets and Seely beat Spencer, also in three.
Bullants 3 Numbats 2:
John Chiswell and Elliot McCallum, playing for the Bullants, won 3-2 against the Numbats team of Graeme Sharp and Abolul.
Sharp beat Chiswell in four sets. McCallum won in four against Abolul. The Bullants won the doubles in four sets. Sharp beat McCallum in straight sets and Chiswell also won in straight sets over Abolul.
Cockies 5 Rosellas 0:
The Cockies, Chris Goode and Jorge Abunza, won 5-0 against the Rosellas, Daniel Wright and Laurence Donaldson.
The best match was between Goode and Wright, which Goode won in five sets.
Wright also had a close-fought game with Abunza before going down in four sets.
Joeys 3 Gliders 2:
The Joeys, Alejandro Diaz and Ray Grant, won 3-2 against the Gliders, Wesley Shea and John Spencer.
Shea won in straight sets against Diaz, and Grant beat Spencer in three sets.
The Gliders won a four-set doubles match, with Shea beating Grant and Diaz defeating Spencer in similar scorelines.
C-grade:
Magpies 5 Eagles 0:
The Magpies, Greg Cornell and Andrew Morris, won 5-0 over Lily and Brendan Kipping, who played for the Eagles.
Brendan lost both his singles matches in five sets, but the Magpies won all other matches in straight sets.
Falcons 3 Jays 2:
It was a 3-2 win for the Falcons, Beth Grant and Peter Cruickshank, against the Jays, Christine Nicholas and Val Kipping.
Grant beat Nicholas in four sets. Val Kipping won against Cruickshank in three.
The Falcons won the doubles in a close five-set match, Grant beat Val Kipping in four sets, and Nicholas beat Cruickshank in three.
Doves 4 Finches 1:
The Doves, Jack Erickson and Andy Donaldson, won 4-1 against the Finches, Saasha Silva and Kaye Grosser.
Erickson beat Silva in three sets, and Donaldson won in four against Grosser.
The Doves won in straight sets in the doubles.
Donaldson then had a straight-sets win over Silva, and Grosser won a close three-set match against Erickson.
