“We have had a very successful season, we have nine very talented players that each week give 110 per cent,” said co-coach Tracey Hughes.
“A lot of us have played netball together in previous seasons or grades so I really think that’s what has helped us gel as a netball side and it definitely shows on the court.”
After dropping last year’s grand final to Moama in similar circumstances to their B-grade counterparts, the Blues this year will instead face Deniliquin Rams.
Hughes is aware of what Deni can bring to the contest, but is confident her squad’s quality will shine through.
“I think it will be a tough contest, but I know what our girls are capable of, and I think if we can all play to our strengths, we can show why we finished first,” said Hughes.
The two sides played just over a week ago in the second semi-final where Tonny earned a comfortable 57-31 victory.
The Blues dispatched the Rams 45-24 and 50-22 in their two regular-season meetings.
Hughes and Ashlee Watson’s charges will be overwhelming favourites to claim the C-grade flag, having been in full control of the league since the outset.
The squad has been maintaining its focus on what’s worked throughout the season, as it ramps up preparations for the decider.
“Trainings have remained pretty consistent throughout the year and also leading into GF week, we haven’t made any changes,” Hughes said.
“We have kept our usual routine just focusing on what we do well and finishing off with a match against our C-Res girls.
“Everyone is super keen. (There are) a few nerves from some and others have taken the calm approach.”
Tongala has won by 20 goals or more on all but two occasions throughout the year.
Tongala will face Deniliquin Rams in the C-grade grand final from 10.45am at Moama Recreation Reserve on Saturday.
