Following their loss in the top-of-the-table clash with Shepparton United, Echuca dominated Mansfield to the almost unbelievable tune of 55 goals.
Echuca netball head coach Belinda Lees said it was as strong of a bounce back as the side could have hoped for.
“It was a really good performance,” she said.
“And it was good to see us maintain our intensity for the entire four quarters, continue to build and get better as the day went on. Not relaxing or easing off was a really big positive for us.”
Lees said watching the combinations click was a great sign.
“We're still in reality a new side,” she said.
“And while we've started the year in really good form there are still things we are working out. There has been a lot of movement between the A and B teams, as we have so much talent on our list.
“So what really stood out to me is the connections are starting to come together. They will continue to get better as time goes on, our side will keep getting stronger the more netball we play with each other.”
But Lees said while the win was a strong one, it did present challenges for the club.
“It's probably not the best week in terms of noticing what there is to work on,” she said.
“When you have a game like this you only see the positives and what worked well. We are a young side so there are always going to be things we can learn, so we will take a deeper look into the game this week and find what we can do better.”
