A balanced first half saw both sides score, with Samuel Wanesiofa getting on the scoreboard for the Border Raiders.
Unfortunately, Echuca Moama wasn’t able to go on with the job, and it was Golden City that earned the crucial game-winner in the second half.
With three wins, five losses and a draw for the year, the Border Raiders find themselves on 10 points, good for fifth on the league table.
Echuca Moama will return home this Sunday to host Golden City Black.
The Border Raiders women’s side enjoyed a bye last week. The team sits atop the league ladder, having tasted defeat only once this year.
