After conceding just 12 goals in those 12 games, Echuca Moama shipped eight here, putting a dent in its promotion aspirations.

In BASL men’s league, the Border Raiders were at Rotary Park in Deniliquin as they played a catch-up fixture with Deniliquin Wanderers.
Echuca Moama showed no mercy to its lower-table opposition, skewering the Wanderers 7-0, scoring four goals in the first half and following up with three in the second.
Samuel Wanesiofa was all over the Deniliquin defence, striking on four occasions, while Jean-Claude Herman, Patrick Barry and Ezequiel Martin Pavon also got their names on the scoresheet.
The Border Raiders’ quest for the top four received a major boost with the win.
Echuca Moama is now level on points with Golden City White in fourth spot, and trail by just one in goal difference.
The Border Raiders will take on Deniliquin again in a return fixture at Jack Eddy Oval, and should a similar scoreline ensue, they could find themselves as high as third by the end of the weekend.
