The Steamers are running hot at Bowls Premier League, wrapping up a finals spot with five rounds to play.
Moama’s round 13 victory over Melbourne Extreme on Thursday confirmed the Steamers’ place in Friday evening’s finals series at Moama Bowling Club.
Sitting first on the ladder after its round 15 win over Sydney, Moama all but secured a semi-final spot and the double chance, boasting a 12-3 win-loss record.
Tweed Heads and Sydney Lions sit second and third respectively, shaping up as Moama’s main challengers.
Alex Marshall’s Moreton Bay Pirates and Melbourne Pulse make up the final two spots in the top five, two wins clear of Gold Coast, Melbourne Extreme, and Perth Suns.
Moama now has the perfect opportunity to secure its first BPL title since 2020.
BPL finals commence at 4pm with the grand final taking place at 9pm.
