First place was on the line when Moama and Rochester went head-to-head, but it was the Steamers who came out on top after a 14-71 to 2-55 victory on Saturday.
Scotsman Kevin Anderson was the skip on the first rink for Moama, defeating Timothy Quinlan 23-18. His Steamers teammate Robert Young had a stellar day on rink two, earning a commanding 29-15 win over Richard Feuk.
On the final rink, Rochy’s John Weeks had a close 22-19 triumph over Roy Jackson.
The win for Rochester prevented a clean sweep, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Moama’s lead.
With Rich River out of action last weekend with the bye, the result sees Moama jump ahead of it into first place with three rounds in the books.
Mathoura also moved ahead of Rich River, thanks to a strong 18-shot win over Deniliquin.
The home side did not drop a rink, winning two and drawing the third as it earned a 15-71 to 1-53 result.

Mathoura skips Mick Humphreys and Peter Holzer both claimed wins, while their teammate Mark Quor and Deni’s James Shields had a 20-20 draw.
In the final game of the round, Echuca was too good for Tongala as it picked up its first victory of the season.
Echuca was in fine form, prevailing 14-79 to 2-51.
Tongala skip Bradley Tinning got the best of Steve Cunnington on rink one with a 23-13 result, but Echuca stormed back on the other two rinks.
Skip James Ferrier put up a huge 37 shots, 17 more than his opponent Greg Lyon could muster.
On the final rink, Ian Page was too good for Jarryd Tinning, winning 29-18.
After three rounds of action, Moama sits in first place, with Mathoura in second and Rich River in third. Rochester rounds out the top four.
In division two, Tongala had a great 16-78 to 0-41 win over Deniliquin, Moama steamed past Mathoura 16-81 to 0-43, Rich River sneaked past Echuca 14-53 to 2-48 and Rochester was too good for Deniliquin RSL 14-74 to 2-64.
In division three, Elmore defeated Mathoura 14-70 to 2-54, Lockington powered past Rich River 16-67 to 0-37, Moama outclassed Echuca 14-66 to 2-54 and Rochester edged past Deniliquin 13-62 to 3-56.
