With the opening five rounds washed out due to rains and floods, young tennis hotshots have finally been hitting the court over the past month.
With three rounds of play in the books, Echuca eight is on top of the Division A ladder with a perfect start to the season.
Echuca eight has won all three of its matches to start the new campaign, including a 7-45 to 1-26 win over LBU three last weekend, and it is the only undefeated side in Division A.
Their clubmates Echuca nine and Echuca 11 are hot on eight’s heels in second and third, while LBU three is in fourth spot.
All three sides have two wins and one defeat so far this season.
Echuca nine had a decisive 7-47 to 1-17 win over Echuca 10, while LBU three’s loss to Echuca eight was its first of the season.
Elmore two moved up to fifth spot on the ladder after its opponents Rochester three were forced to forfeit last weekend.
Rochester had won its opening two games of the season against Rich River two and Echuca 10, before missing its most recent game.
Rich River two and Echuca 10 are both still hoping to win their first match of the season, and one of them will do just that on Saturday with the two sides set to face one another.
Elsewhere, Echuca eight will take on Echuca 11 in a first-vs-third clash, Rochester three will meet LBU three and Echuca nine will come up against Elmore two.
In Division B, LBU six, Elmore six, Rochester four and Elmore four are the four undefeated teams three rounds into the season.
Echuca 13, Elmore three and Elmore five each have two victories and one defeat, while LBU four has one win and one loss.
Echuca 15, Echuca 14, Colbinabbin two, LBU five and Echuca 12 are on the hunt for their first wins of the season.
LBU six had a resounding six sets to love win last weekend, while clubmates LBU four snuck past Echuca 15 in a tight encounter and Rochester four edged past Elmore three in another close game.
In Division C, LBU seven and Rochester five both have perfect 3-0 win-loss records to start the season.
Elmore seven, Rochester six, Rich River three and Echuca 18 are all just behind them with two wins and one defeat so far.
Echuca 16 has one win on the board, while Elmore eight, Echuca 17 and Colbinabbin will be gunning for their first victories this weekend.
Elmore seven and LBU seven both had great performances last weekend, winning their respective matches six sets to love.
