A familiar A-grade side will be coming together on the courts of Jerilderie Recreation Reserve yet again this season.
Coach Ella Arnold said her side had found itself short on numbers last season, but the depth and quality of the club’s youth contingent had shone through.
“We were a bit short on numbers last year, our B-grade players played up a grade and we weren’t able to recruit despite trying, we relied on our local resources a lot,” Arnold said.
“A few junior girls had their first year in the senior ranks and have learnt a lot and will be called upon this year.”
After a number of encouraging seasons together, Arnold said a team-first focus would again be key this year.
“Jerilderie is very much a team effort, there’s no golden players we rely on or anything like that,” she said.
“Now we’ve had three seasons together, we’re hoping our longevity will pull strong.”
