The victory prevented a three-game slide for Echuca after winning in round one against Shepparton United and has reinstated its grand final ambitions in September.
To be fair, the contest never looked overly close.
Coming out the gate with purpose, the Murray Bombers piled on 15 goals in the first quarter, driven by the one-two attacking punch of veteran Belinda Lees and rookie Rose Byrne.
Meanwhile, the Saints stayed in the hunt enough to open proceedings, tallying nine goals before the first break.
Matching their first quarter total in the second period, while limiting Benalla to eight goals saw the visitors dart out to a 13-goal lead by half-time.
A slightly slower third term by Echuca left the door ajar for the home side, which had its strongest stretch of the match, but it wasn’t enough to dent the Murray Bombers’ lead down the stretch.
A nine-goal final quarter from Echuca saw it seal the deal, with the 16-goal disparity to the Saints.
The final score was Echuca 50 to Benalla 34.
Byrne had her most successful game of A-grade netball, collecting 29 goals for the match, with Lees supporting her with 21.
The Murray Bombers will have to put in potentially their strongest performance of the season in round five, when they travel to Deakin Reserve to take on Shepparton, which remains undefeated.
