The winning trio on the day was the team comprising Sue Harris, Margaret Davis and ladies president Denise Gilmore (s) with a breathtaking performance by all bowlers.
On the Tuesday evening, there was a small gathering for the popular barefoot bowls.
With all the problems associated with the flooding around the district, several players were absent.
After the completion of the scheduled two games of eight ends there were no two game winners. In fact, all teams playing recorded a win and loss on the night. Further history was made when two teams could not be separated.
The respective pairs involved were Ian Staig and Lloyd Buchanan (s) along with Rhane Dennis and Graeme Wood (s) who both scored a win and a loss plus 2 shots – nine shots against and aggregate – 11 shots.
The final decision was all bowlers were winners.
Barefoot bowls will continue on a Tuesday evening at 6.30pm for a 7pm start. Bowls are available. Names to be listed prior to 6.30pm.
With the continuing rainfall and floods affecting several local district towns, there has been a handbrake put on many organised bowling events.
At Lockington, the weekly 60-and-over competition was cancelled last Wednesday, then the scheduled Annual “Autobarn” Waterwheel Classic Fours was cancelled on Sunday.
This prestigious tournament has now been rescheduled for Sunday, November 27 starting at 9.30am. Contact Russell Shawcross 0428 862468 or Ray Hanson 0428 991865 for entries.

The bowling fraternity are also anxious to get on the greens for the Campaspe Area Pennant season.

The weekly Friday practice session and barbeque was again well attended. The lucky members’ draw favoured a delighted Frank Chugg.
