The finals round was played at Rich River Bowls Club and saw minor premiers Moama, who had only suffered one loss all season, lose all three rinks to an inspired Echuca side, 16-73 to 0-50.
Echuca, who was coming off the back of an unanticipated loss of its own to Deniliquin last week, secured the first spot in the grand final.
Echuca skip Ian Page scored a huge win in his rink over opposing skip Robyn Thomassen 30-13, while skip Roma Opie also scored for Echuca, 21-16.
The closest Moama would come to a rink victory was in skip Robert Wastell’s rink, where the minor premiers fell 21-22 to Echuca skip Kerryn Evans and her quartet.
In the elimination final, Deniliquin, who beat the more favoured Echuca last week to secure finals action, sent Mathoura packing, 13-62 to 3-52, and keep their season alive.
The rink skipped by Stephen O’Brien was the difference for Deni, with his 25-7 win outscoring Mathoura skip Jason McCloy’s win of 24-16.
The remaining rink between skips Mark Quor (Deniliquin) and Paul Clear (Mathoura) ended tied, 21-21.
Deniliquin will now face Moama for the right to challenge Echuca in the grand final.
Division two
Moama advanced to the grand final after defeating Deniliquin RSL 13-61 to 3-55 in the qualifying semi-final.
Deni will now challenge Stanhope, who eliminated Echuca 14-63 to 2-54.
Division three
Deniliquin RSL punched its ticket to the grand final with a 14-46 to 0-28 victory over Echuca.
Echuca will take on Deniliquin, who stayed alive when they defeated Moama Green in the elimination final, 13-37 to 1-28.
