Misfits had a big night out this round, whitewashing the struggling Pastoral Phoenix, winning 11-0.
P*ssheads went on their merry way to remain undefeated, taking care of Double Trouble in a convincing 9-2 win and in the final game, 26 Jets showed a bit of form to defeat The Shoeless in another 9-2 result.
Hasbeens had this week off with the bye.
It seems that all three winners will hold on to their places in the four, but as I said last week, fourth place is up for grabs.
Double Trouble and Hasbeens are only separated by percentage.
The Shoeless are only one match win behind, but they’re still to have the second round bye, so I think they will find it very difficult to step up.
Individual Highlights
It seems it was Andrew Beaumont’s night out.
He topped the tons with 12, and threw the shortest game in 16 darts.
Michael Bajowski had the best average with 26.37 and the highest out shot with 80.
Three players threw 180’s; Cal Burt, Trevor Kent and Marcus McKenner.
In the ladies, Jo Hadley again topped the averages with 18.56 while Janine Cassar had a 72 peg.
Janine shared the shortest game of 24 darts with Jodie Oakley.
Division Two
With only one match being played in 2nd division this week, there’s not a lot to report.
Pastoral Warriors had a comfortable 7-4 win over Sore & Achey.
Unfortunately, Pastoral Pirates were unable to field a team, giving The Recyclables an 11-0 win and in the other scheduled match Dart Devils forfeited to give Ocheholics another 11-0 result.
Cockadoos had the bye.
Ocheholics and The Recyclables respectively now hold first and second places on the ladder.
Pastoral Pirates still hold third place, with Cockadoos in fourth.
However, with Cockadoos losing two of their players through suspension, it’s hard to imagine that they’ll be able to stay in the four.
This gives Pastoral Warriors a good chance of taking fourth place and qualifying for the finals.
Individual Highlights
There weren’t too many highlights to speak of.
Alan Bryson topped the averages with 14.43 and had the shortest game in 26 darts.
Steve Robinson and Greg Williams shared the most tons with three each, and Rod Brown had the highest peg with a 50 out shot.
