Shepparton Soccer Club set up a clinic, led by star import Haley Johnson, to try and encourage women and girls in the region to sign up and form a side to play in Bendigo Association Soccer League.
The club hopes American import Johnson will help drive the number of female participants up to the point that a team can be fielded for the 2025 season.
On Thursday, women and girls from across the region looked to get an early start on next season under the tutelage and wisdom of Johnson.
News photographer Rechelle Zammit was roaming around Vibert Reserve to capture the clinic.
