Starting at $12 odds, Equine Philosopher led from start to finish, winning by a head from Privileged Son and Never Again.
It is the second winner Hammond has ridden for Bendigo trainer Jarrod Robinson in November, after she guided Mangwanani to victory at the Wycheproof Cup meeting on November 4.
Nearly a year after debuting as a jockey, the 21-year-old has built a solid foundation.
In 283 starts, Hammond has had 23 winners and 44 placings, crafting a reputation as a reliable hoop in the country racing scene.
She had five runners on the day at Benalla, including a duo from the Rhys Archard stable.
Six-year-old Limbering missed a placing by a nose in the Yarrawonga Hotel Handicap over 1600m after a three-week refresh, while Son Of A Blonde finished ninth in the day’s second race.
Meanwhile, Echuca trainer Dennis Oliver also had a runner in action with Hey Denny, making the trip to Broken Hill at the weekend.
The four-year-old ran third in race three over 1200m.
