Goulburn Valley League assistant coach Simon Eishold credited the team’s run and dare in its narrow seven-point defeat to O&M post-game.

Addressing the group post-match, Eishold reiterated that the reward of representative footy doesn’t just lay on the field, and commended the game style that saw the GVL reel in a 34-point quarter-time deficit.
“There’s no tomorrow, there’s no points on offer, it’s risk and reward,” Eishold said.
“We had a really good effort at it, everyone put in from day dot, you’ve got to know 23 other mates from around the competition.
“It is enjoyable footy because it’s still an absolute contest – that’s what it’s all about.
“I think the league should be proud of what we put in.”
Eishold formed part of the 2023 coaching panel alongside head coach Mark Lambourn and assistants Stephen Ash and Dion Sheehan.
The GVL season resumes with round seven this Saturday.
